St Mirren have appointed former Scottish international Scott Brown as their new manager to begin the team's reconstruction.
Brown, who has been playing for St Mirren since 2015 and won Scotland's Young Player of the Year in 2018, will take over from current manager Craig Levein, who resigned after just one season at the club.
The appointment comes as St Mirren look to bounce back from last season's relegation to League One and rebuild their squad ahead of next season's promotion push.
Brown, 44, joins St Mirren on a two-year contract and will be tasked with leading the club through a period of rebuilding and development under his guidance.
He is known for his tactical acumen and ability to develop young talent, which he believes can help the club achieve its goals.
"Scott brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the table, and I'm confident that he can lead us through this challenging time and help us build a strong foundation for the future," said St Mirren chairman Ian McInnes.
"We're excited to welcome him to the club and are looking forward to working with him."
St Mirren's next game is against Ross County on October 9th in their home match.
